Man hospitalized after early morning shooting on northeast side

INDIANAPOLIS (February 5, 2016) – One man is in the hospital after an early morning shooting on the city’s northeast side Friday.

Officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department responded to a call about shots fired and a woman screaming.

When they arrived on scene in the 3100 block of Thompkins Square Court, officers say they found a man suffering from two gunshot wounds to the leg.

The victim was alert and breathing when transported to Eskenazi.

At this point, police have not released any suspect information and no arrests have been made.
