Several crashes lead to backups on Indianapolis interstates

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Feb. 9, 2016) — The left lane of southbound I-65 was closed near 71st St due to a crash Tuesday morning, causing backups on the interstate.

Drivers should seek alternate routes when traveling southbound on I-65 near mile 125.

At one point, all lanes were closed.

The crash was one of several around the Indianapolis area Tuesday. A crash on the north side closed the left lane of I-465 eastbound near U.S. 31/Meridian Street. A separate crash on I-74 westbound near State Road 267 also caused problems for drivers.
