FISHERS, Ind. (Feb. 14, 2016) - It's an exciting time in Fishers, after a week that saw hundreds of new jobs added to the city's economy.

Braden Business Systems announced plans this week to build a new headquarters in Fishers, creating up to 120 new high-wage jobs by 2020.

The homegrown Hoosier business will invest at least $5.6 million to construct and equip a four-story, approximately 40,000-square-foot office and multi-use facility at the corners of Municipal Drive and North Street in downtown Fishers.

Construction is set to begin this summer, and Braden will occupy the new building’s top two floors, which will feature an open office environment and a technology showroom for its customers.

The company also plans to lease an approximately 10,000-square-foot warehouse near its offices, expanding its total footprint by more than 5,000 square feet over its current offices on Indianapolis’ north side. Once complete, Braden will sublet the remainder of its new building in Fishers to retailers, restaurants and other businesses.

Braden provides information technology solutions to businesses across the state, with most of its clients based in Central Indiana. With roots in supplying traditional office technology equipment to area businesses, the company’s major growth today is in document automation software, computer networking solutions, offsite backup and hosting, cloud services, phone systems and data security.

“Braden Business Systems is an innovative leader in the industry and we are thrilled they are relocating to Fishers,” said Fishers Mayor Scott Fadness. “The company joins a growing collection of technology companies in our community, and the new facility will be a welcomed addition to the Nickel Plate District in downtown Fishers.”

Republic and Stanley Security also made jobs announcements this week, not long after Fadness delivered his State of the City address.

In the video above, Fadness talks about the city's rapid growth and other recent announcements, including  IKEA and Topgolf, which will be moving to the city in the coming years.

The Topgolf location will be located along 116th street near Cumberland Road. This is the same area where IKEA announced opening a location in 2017 and the Governor has plans for rebuilding the I-465/I-69 Interchange.

“I would characterize it as a driving range on steroids,” said Mayor Fadness. “We put our best foot forward and really excited today to say that they are coming to Fishers.”

Topgolf, a Dallas-based company, chose Fishers in order to build a three-story, 60,000 square foot facility.  The company advertises that Topgolf locations are a place for both families and corporations to eat, drink and of course swing the golf club.  The location is slated to open in the Spring of 2017.
