INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (February 14, 2016) – The Indy weather Authority is predicting snow showers to begin early this afternoon and continuing periodically throughout the day and into the evening hours. We could have up to four inches of accumulation.

The Indy Snow Force will increase drivers out on the roads today and into the overnight hours to keep roads as safe as possible. Snow Force activated 96 drivers at 11 a.m. to keep main thoroughfare and secondary streets clear and passable for weekend travel.

Snow Force will return tonight at 11 p.m. and work through the overnight hours into Monday morning to keep roads as safe as possible for the Monday morning commute.

DPW will be monitoring weather conditions closely all weekend long and into the start of the work week. Drivers should remember to use caution on the road, making sure they leave plenty of time to reach their destinations as DPW operators run their routes. DPW Operations will be monitoring City roadways and resources at all times.
