3 inmates receive treatment after suspected spice overdoses in Monroe County jail

MONROE COUNTY, Ind. (Mar. 4, 2016)– Two Monroe County inmates are receiving medical treatment after three inmates had suspected spice overdoses.

One inmate was released from the hospital and taken back to jail while the other two are under medical observation within the jail.

The sheriff’s office is working to determine how the spice was smuggled in.

The investigation is ongoing. At this time no charges have been filed.
