Warm and windy weather to return to Indiana

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (March 20, 2016)--Good Sunday afternoon and welcome to the first day of spring! It didn't feel like it today with temperatures below freezing this morning and highs in the 40s this afternoon.

Tonight will be partly cloudy with lows back below freezing.

SKY - Forecast Tonight

Temperatures will be a bit better on Monday with highs in the low 50s and a mix of sun and clouds. Winds will be out of the west, northwest 5-15 mph.

A low-pressure system will move across the Plains through the week, leading to windy conditions across central Indiana. Expect wind gusts to 35 mph on Tuesday as temperatures climb into the low to mid-60s. Winds will stay strong Wednesday into Thursday as the low moves through the Midwest.

Weather Setup

Showers look to develop across the area as a warm front lifts north on Wednesday. Moisture will continue to move in from the south. Rain along with t-storms are likely Wednesday night into Thursday along a cold front. Much cooler air will arrive by the end of the week. --Danielle Dozier
