Purdue’s Vince Edwards declares for NBA Draft

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (April 5, 2016) – Purdue’s Vince Edwards has declared for the 2016 NBA Draft, but the sophomore forward will not hire an agent.

Edwards (6 foot 8, 225-pounds) is now able to attend workouts with various NBA teams as well as the NBA Draft Combine, if he is selected to participate. The combine wraps up May 15, and Edwards will have until May 25 to decide whether to stay in the draft or withdraw his name and return to the Boilermakers.

In 2015-16, Edwards ranked second on Purdue in scoring (11.3 ppg), third in rebounding (5.4 rpg), and led the squad with 100 total assists and 46 three pointers made.

Per Purdue Sports Information, the versatile Edwards is just the second player in school history to score 650 points, haul in 325 rebounds, and record 175 career assists in his first two seasons, joining E’Twaun Moore.
