Happy Saturday everyone! We are off to a very cold start with temperatures in the upper 20s and lower 30s. A Freeze Warning is in effect until 11am today and another one has been issued for Sunday morning. You will want to cover up any sensitive vegetation outdoors.
The backside of a low pressure system will continue to produce a few spotty snow showers until midday.
High pressure will move in this afternoon helping to clear out the clouds and bring us some sunshine.
Even though the sunshine returns this afternoon it isn't going to have much of an effect on our temperatures. Highs will be running about 20 degrees below normal, only reaching 40 here in Indy. Some locations won't even make it out of the 30s!
Southerly winds will ramp up once again tomorrow drawing in warmer air and pushing our temperatures back in the mid to upper 50s! Keep the umbrellas handy Sunday as rain will also be moving back in during the afternoon hours.
The rain will continue into the start of the work week but drier weather arrives on Tuesday with high pressure. Spring also finally returns to the state through the end of the week with highs back in the 60s and lots of sunshine!
