INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (April 10, 2016) – Two men were arrested Sunday morning after police say they attempted to rob a Circle K gas station on the east side.

Officers responded to the gas station in the 6700 block of East Washington Street around 10:00 a.m. after receiving a 911 call saying the front doors were locked and nobody seemed to be inside during normal business hours.

Officers believed the business was being robbed by two suspects, later identified as Jason Walker, 33, and Lester Williams, 30.

Two employees and two customers were also inside.

The IMPD SWAT Team was requested to resolve the incident.

Walker and Williams voluntarily surrendered when they saw the business was surrounded by police. They were taken into custody and charged with robbery and criminal confinement.

Officers found a loaded handgun inside the business that they believe was used by one of the suspects.

The two employees and two customers inside of the business were unharmed.
