BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (April 22, 2016) – Fans of IU basketball will get to see OG Anunoby play another season in Bloomington.

The freshman said he’ll return for his sophomore year.

“I will not be declaring for the NBA draft this year and will return to IU. I love my teammates and coaches and look forward to getting better every day with their help,” Anunoby said in a tweet from the university.

The 6’8” freshman didn’t start a single game for the Hoosiers last year, but he was invaluable to the team. His draft stock soared thanks to his defensive prowess and penchant for highlight plays on offense. He averaged 5.8 points and 3.3 rebounds in Big Ten play.

Anunoby’s decision to return is key for IU. Freshman Thomas Bryant announced he’ll stick around for his sophomore year as well.

Troy Williams, who has one year of eligibility remaining, has declared for the NBA Draft. Williams hasn’t hired an agent, however, and could return for his senior season.
