INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (April 23, 2016)--Good Saturday afternoon! It's been a beautiful day and Sunday promises to be just as nice but warmer. Highs were in the mid-60s and right at average today.
Sunday morning will be chilly with lows in the mid-40s. However, we'll warm up nicely with temperatures rebounding to the upper 70s Sunday afternoon!
Here's a look at your allergy tracker for the next couple of days.
A low-pressure system will move from the Plains to the Upper Midwest on Monday which will allow for breezy conditions across central Indiana to start the work week. Winds will be south, southwest 10-25 mph with higher gusts. That southwest wind will allow temperatures to get into the low 80s. Showers and thunderstorms are possible on Monday, especially in the afternoon and evening with the greatest chance to our north. Rainfall amounts on Monday will be light, except in t-storms where 0.25 inches may fall.
A cold front will move through the area on Tuesday and linger for the next couple of days as another low pressure moves in from the west on Wednesday. This will keep shower and t-storm chances in the forecast for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Temperatures will dip slightly through the week with the cold front and we'll have a brief break from rain late Thursday through Friday before another system moves in next weekend. --Danielle Dozier
