Happy Monday everyone, our work week is off to a warm start! This morning temperatures are in the upper 50s and highs will reach the lower 80s! Strong southerly winds 10-20mph and gusts to 30 mph will draw in warmer air helping to push temperatures above normal.
The day light hours today will remain dry but overnight a cold front will sag south into the state creating rain showers and a few thunderstorms.
The front will remain in the region on Tuesday causing more showers and storms throughout the day.
Daytime heating and the cold front sitting over southern Indiana Tuesday afternoon could cause a few strong storms.
Rainfall totals by Tuesday evening will be close to .5" with some higher amounts in thunderstorms mainly south of Indianapolis.
Another system will move into the region Wednesday into Thursday bringing more rain and thunderstorms.
