INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — Donald Trump won the Indiana Republican primary Tuesday, according to the Associated Press.

Voters turned out in huge numbers Tuesday to cast their ballots.

Trump campaigned in several Indiana locations over the last week. He appeared in Carmel, Terre Haute, Ft. Wayne, South Bend, Indianapolis and more.

He picked up several endorsements while in the state,  including former IU basketball coach Bob Knight, former Notre Dame football coach Lou Holtz and former Purdue basketball coach Gene Keady.

Before polls closed Tuesday evening, the Associated Press reported Ted Cruz was preparing for a “somber” night. John Kasich says he will be staying in the race unless a candidate reaches 1,237 bound delegates before the GOP Convention.
