Juvenile seriously injured in Fortville moped crash

FORTVILLE, Ind.– A juvenile was seriously injured after a moped crash Wednesday evening.

Officers were called to the scene at the intersection of County Road 200 West and County Road 900 North just after 5 p.m.

A juvenile moped driver had a severe laceration on his head and the officers began giving first aid. The juvenile told police he could not move his legs.

He was transported to IU Saxony in Fishers before being airlifted to St. Vincent hospital in Indianapolis.

The driver of the car involved in the crash did not appear to have any injuries and voluntarily submitted to a chemical test.

Police said there were no signs of intoxication from either people.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
