INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. --Good Monday afternoon! On this Memorial Day, we're tracking the heat with highs in the 80s. Humidity is a little lower than the weekend so it feels more comfortable outside. Plan on dry conditions if you're having any late-day picnics or cookouts.
We'll have a mostly clear sky tonight as we're under the influence of high pressure. Temperatures will dip to the low 60s with light east, northeast winds.
Tuesday will bring a partly cloudy sky with highs back in the mid-80s. Plan on a slight chance of showers or storms Tuesday afternoon or evening.
Wednesday will be the next best chance of widespread showers and t-storms as a low-pressure system and cold front move through the area. It will stay warm with highs in the mid-80s through mid-week.
Wednesday marks the start of meteorological summer and the official start to the Atlantic Basin hurricane season even though we've already seen our second-named storm! Take a look at the names for the storms to be used this season....and the fourth one on the list!
It will be slightly cooler with highs in the 70s by the end of the week with dry conditions expected into the weekend. --Danielle Dozier
