INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. --Good Saturday evening! We've been tracking rain and t-storms moving through central Indiana this afternoon. Strong wind gusts to 30 and 35 mph have accompanied some t-storms along with heavy rain and lightning.
The rain has let up but a few passing showers or storms are possible overnight. Lows will be in the low 60s with light west, southwest winds.
A cold front will move through tonight and drier air will move in. Dew points are expected to go down to the upper 50s through Sunday afternoon. However, rain with some isolated t-storms are possible Sunday afternoon as the low-pressure departs the area. Winds will pick up with west winds gusting to 25 mph in the afternoon. Highs will be in the mid-70s.
Additional showers and t-storms are likely Monday as another front moves through central Indiana. Some of the t-storms on Monday may be strong or severe with hail and strong winds. Temperatures will be near 80 degrees Monday afternoon.
A trough of low pressure will dig down across the Midwest and Northeast through the middle of the week and temperatures will dip to the low 50s for lows. Highs will only top out in the low 70s.
The cooler air will be short-lived as a ridge of high pressure builds behind it. Look for highs near 90 degrees next Saturday! --Danielle Dozier
