KOKOMO, Ind. — An 81-year-old Kokomo man was arrested Thursday for allegedly molesting a 13-year-old girl multiple times at his home over the last two years.

The teen told her father that Marion Longfellow had been molesting her at his house in the 1600 block of West Sycamore Street, according to court documents. The victim’s father then called police.

When the victim talked to officers, she told the them that the most recent incident occurred last month on Mother’s Day. She said Longfellow told her not to tell anyone, but on several occasions, “he told her that he wanted her and that he needed her,” court documents say.

Police say Longfellow admitted to molesting the girl, during an interview. He told officers he had touched her more than 20 times and that he knew it was wrong, but he believed the girl wanted things to happen.

Longfellow was arrested and charged with one count of child molesting.
