Indianapolis man arrested, accused of molesting 15-year-old more than once

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – An Indianapolis man was arrested on multiple child molestation charges.

The investigation began in January 2015 when Indiana State Police was contacted by a woman with information about her child possibly being sexually molested.

After a lengthy investigation, police determined John Daniels, 47, of Indianapolis had sexual contact with a juvenile in both Marion and Switzerland County, Indiana.

After analyzing evidence and extensive interviews, detectives determined Daniels had sexual intercourse with a 15-year-old victim on more than one occasion over the past few years.

Daniels is also accused of sexual molestation of the same victim in Switzerland County, Indiana. ISP detecitves will work with the Switzerland County Prosecutor for potential criminal charges there.

Daniels was arrested at his Marion County home on June 15, 2016. He was booked into the Adult Processing Center and is being held on a $150,000 bond. He faces the following charges:

Count 1 – child molesting

Count 2 – child molesting

Count 3 – sexual misconduct with a minor

Count 4 – sexual misconduct with a minor

Count 5 – child solicitation
