Police: Muncie man bites off, swallows part of neighbor’s ear during brawl
MUNCIE, Ind. – Police say a Muncie man bit off part of his neighbor’s ear and swallowed it during a fight Wednesday.
An officer responded to the brawl in the 600 block of West Adams Street. When the officer arrived, he says he saw Donald Lee Wilson II, 52, standing over the victim with a baseball bat in his hand.
The officer ordered Wilson to step away, then another suspect, Kyndra Swift, 45, handed the officer a large knife and said the victim had attacked her.
Wilson reportedly told the officer that the victim had kicked him in the face.
“…so I got on top of him and bit him,” Wilson said. “I bit his ear off and ate it!”
When asked why he had consumed the piece of ear, Wilson said he was angry and “worked up,” according to a police report.
The victim and the two suspects were transported to the hospital to have their injuries treated. Wilson had a “good-sized injury” near his eye. While at the hospital, police say Swift “yelled at patients,” tried to charge at the alleged victim, and kicked a nurse.
Wilson was then taken to the Delaware County jail under a $10,000 bond and preliminarily charged with aggravated battery, disorderly conduct and public intoxication. Swift was arrested on the same charges and also held on a $10,000 bond.
