Downed power lines cause house fire on north side

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Downed power lines caused a house fire on the city’s north side Sunday.

It happened in the 5100 block of Rosslyn Avenue.

The Indianapolis Fire Department tweeted that the fire was in the basement and chimney.

The resident told officials that it’s the second time this has happened in four years.

IFD says the fire caused around $30,000 in damage.

There were no injuries.
