TIPTON COUNTY, Ind. — Police are investigating a crash that claimed one life in Tipton County early Thursday morning.

Officers say a pickup truck was waiting to turn left in the intersection of US 31 and SR 28 when another vehicle ran a red light, striking the pickup.

According to police, the striking vehicle then crashed through a construction barrier and the male driver was ejected. His vehicle caught fire and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the pickup truck was not injured.
