ARCADIA, Ind. – Police in Hamilton County believe a man committed as many as 30 thefts and burglaries during a two-county crime spree that lasted several months.

Patrick Miller, 29, Arcadia, was arrested Tuesday, according to the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office. Detectives responding to a burglary in the 19600 block of Grassy Branch Road on July 5 found a wallet containing identification. The property also had surveillance video that helped police identify Miller as the suspect.

Police found Miller in a barn in Arcadia; the barn was filled with numerous items that had been taken in Hamilton and Madison counties over the last several months. Stolen property included tools, power tools, coins and an ATV, among other items.

Police believe drug use motivated Miller’s crime spree. Investigators said he committed thefts in Westfield, Noblesville, Anderson and other locations in Hamilton and Madison counties.

Miller was taken to the Hamilton County Jail. Charges against him include burglary, motor vehicle theft and theft of a firearm.
