UPDATE: Goldblatt was found guilty after a bench trial in May 2017. He was sentenced to 180 days–all suspended.

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The press secretary for Mayor Joe Hogsett has been placed on administrative leave.

Dan Goldblatt’s leave of absence comes after an incident in which a woman said he kicked her car and then walked away.

The woman, Shavon Wilson, reported the incident to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office around 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

She said she was going through a yellow light at the intersection of Washington and Pennsylvania streets when Goldblatt crossed in front of her, kicked her car and walked off. Goldblatt was walking into the City-County Building at the time. The woman recorded video of the incident.

The car sustained slight damage, according to a report from the sheriff’s office. Photos from the woman’s Facebook page show Goldblatt left a white mark on the car’s exterior.

A spokeswoman for Mayor Hogsett confirmed Goldblatt was on administrative leave. He later resigned.
