Heavy rain, gusts to 40 mph and plenty of lightning is how we are starting our Monday morning. This should begin to taper off by 8 a.m., not completely dry but certainly not as intense, nor as widespread. We will see breaks from the rain and from the clouds by midday, while temperatures will warm back into the middle 80s. Flooding concerns remain for our northern counties who picked up the highest totals ranging between 2 to 4 inches in the overnight!

The second wave out in Iowa will likely weaken a bit, considering the atmosphere is fairly worked over. Basically, the worst of the weather is happening now and anything this afternoon should be weaker and non-severe with the worst areas being impacted well south and west of Indianapolis!
