We have a very hot and humid weekend on the way, at times it could feel close to 110º! That is why a Heat Advisory has been issued and runs until 8pm tonight.
Saturday and Sunday will both be sweltering but we get a little relief behind a cold front on Monday.
Temperatures continue to climb this weekend reaching the lower 90s this afternoon.
Even though temperatures will remain below the century mark, high humidity will make for an oppressive afternoon as heat index values climb over 100º. Take precautions to stay safe in the heat.
Although most of the state will stay dry today with a mix of sun and clouds, a few areas of showers and thunderstorms are possible.
If you are headed out the race tomorrow drink lots of water, wear sunblock and light loose fitting clothing. Try and find shade to take breaks from the intense heat.
A front will move through the state on Monday bringing more rain and storm chances but also cooler air for the middle of the week. The humidity levels ease on Tuesday and Wednesday with slightly cooler temperatures in the upper 80s. Rain chances increase again Thursday into Friday.
