Police investigate near west side shooting

INDIANAPOLIS – A man is recovering in the hospital after police say he was shot on the near west side late Sunday night.

Officers were called to the 2400 block of West 16th Street shortly before midnight after receiving reports that a person may have been shot.

When they arrived on scene, officers say they found a man suffering from at least one gunshot wound.

Aggravated Assault detectives are investigating but have not yet released any suspect information.
