INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Fair-goers are getting a break from the heat with some cooler temperatures during day-two at the Indiana State Fair.
This year’s theme is all about Indiana's Bicentennial, and one of the ways organizers are marking the milestone -- food, of course.
Some vendors are celebrating with birthday cake creations while others are putting a twist on some of the classics. This year, organizers say they want you to be their fair food critic.
"We’re encouraging everyone to vote and pick your favorite vendors. You can vote every single one, try as many as you like, give them a star rating and then you can add a personal review," said Indiana State Fair Spokesperson Lesley Gordon.
There’s also plenty of new attractions to check-out -- like "The skater," a new ride inside the midway.
There’s more than 50 rides to try overall.
Also new this year -- BMX Parkour stunt shows. The performers mix martial arts, tricks and aerial bike stunts to create a high-energy show.
"You’re guaranteed three things with our events: Chills, thrills and spills," said Solution Action Sports owner Justin Hardin
The group performs three times a day on the new Grandstand Entertainment lot, right next to the Hoosier Lottery Grandstand.
