INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.-- The McClure Oil Corporation is offering a $5,000 reward for information in a fatal shooting.

On July 22, the McClure convenience store at 5301 Rockville Road was robbed. In the course of the robbery, the suspect shot and killed the clerk, 52-year-old Susan Seel.

Police say Seel was taking her early morning break when she was attacked by the suspect.  The cash register drawer was stolen.

IMPD released these of the suspect on July 25:

The victim's mother, Karen Seel, said her daughter had been robbed while working as a cashier at a Safeway store in 2012 and at the same McClure’s store June 4.

“I wish he hadn’t been wearing a hoodie and you could clearly see who he was but you can see a little bit of his face and I think that if someone knew him maybe they would recognize him,” said a remarkably composed Seel considering the tragic loss of her daughter and roommate. “I think you’d have to be an evil person. He’s going to have a life of crime if they don’t catch him. Someone that would shoot someone and then go get the money. He’s going to be a dangerous person to be out there.”

To receive the cash reward, submitted information must lead to an arrest and conviction.  Contact IMPD at (317) 327-3475 or Crime Stoppers  at (317)262-TIPS.

Kelly McClure, President of McClure Oil Corporation, issued this statement:

“We are devastated by the loss of our employee, Susan Seel.   We at McClure Oil work diligently to insure the safety of our associates and customers.  One of numerous things we do as a company, which is consistent with our industry and other convenience stores in order to discourage theft and robbery, is to limit access to cash in our stores.”

Indianapolis City-County Counselor Jared Evans posted a photo of the victim to his Facebook page.
