5 arrested after SWAT raid on near north side

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.– Indianapolis police arrested five people in a narcotics bust Wednesday.

IMPD officers served a search warrant around 9:30 p.m. in the 1900 block of Bellefontaine Street. A SWAT team used “dynamic entry techniques” to enter the home, due to the front and back doors being heavily barricaded.

SWAT found five people inside, including 53-year-old Vincent Tucker, one of the targets of the investigation.

The residence was searched and officers found approximately six grams of cocaine, a shotgun, marijuana and $489. Tucker was arrested on charges of dealing and possession of cocaine with a firearm, serious violent felon in possession of a firearm and maintaining a common nuisance.

Racheal Howard was arrested for visiting a common nuisance and an open arrest warrant.  Alfie Vaden, Kenneth Tucker and Terrence Glover were also arrested for visiting a common nuisance.
