YORKTOWN, Ind. — Divers and emergency responders retrieved a car and the body of a young man from a pond in Yorktown Sunday.

Delaware County Coroner Scott Hahn tells The Star Press crews investigating a report that a car had hit a utility pole and entered the pond around 3 a.m. found the car but no one inside.

Hahn says a dive team found the body of 20-year-old Darrion Lamonte Johnson in the water. Hahn says it’s not clear how the man left the car, but Johnson’s cause of death has been ruled a drowning.
