Bloomington police searching for suspect in armed robbery of Village Pantry

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Bloomington police are investigating an armed robbery at a Village Pantry.

Police say the robbery occurred at the convenience store on North Indiana Avenue around 5:30 a.m. on August 19.

When officers arrived to the scene, an employee told them the robbery suspect displayed a handgun, demanded money and then struck him in the head with the gun three times.

Police say the employee suffered a cut and swelling to one of his eyes and a swollen mouth.

The suspect is believed to be a woman, who was wearing all black. If you are able to recognize the suspect or have any more information about the incident, you’re asked to call 911 or 812-339-4477.
