People leaving LA Airport following reports of a shooting

LOS ANGELES, Cal. — Police are finishing up their investigation at the Los Angeles International Airport following unconfirmed reports of a shooting reported earlier at the facility.

Flight activity had been delayed for about an 20 minutes along with ground activity,  but police Los Angeles Airport police after an extensive search and investigation have confirmed that reports of shots fired in the facility were a false alarm.

“A report of a shooting at LAX proven to be LOUD NOISES only. No shots fired; no injuries. Investigation continues to locate source,”Andy Neiman, Commanding Officer of LAPD Media Relations said in a tweet.
