Have a great and safe Labor Day weekend! You couldn't ask for better weather!
There is no rain threat, for several days as Hermine slows the west to east movement of our weather pattern. The tropical traffic jam places strengthening high pressure overhead leading to an extended spell of dry weather. while dumping rain up and down the eastern seaboard.
LATE SEASON HEAT WAVE
Warming underway as air, vented from the storm sinks here and heats up. We are expecting 90° heat again starting Labor Day and lasting through Wednesday. Remember last Labor Day weekend? Each afternoon topped 90° (Saturday, Sunday and Monday). Historically, only 9 Labor days have topped 90° since 1963. This will be the 10th and first back to back Labor Day 90's in over 53 years.
There is a chance that Wednesday could reach 94° - marking the hottest so far this year.
Enjoy the early fall feel, it is looking rather warm again for much of next week. The warmth continues into the second week of September. The latest 6 to 10 day temperatures centered on September 8th through the 12th has a high likelihood of above normal temperatures.
