It’s been 15 years since four planes were hijacked on the morning of Sept. 11. Two planes crashed into the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center in New York City. A third plane crashed into the west side of the Pentagon in Virginia. The last plane, bound for D.C., crashed into a field near Shanksville, Pennsylvania. The terrorist attacks claimed the lives of 2,296 people and injured more than 6,000 others.
It was a day America will always remember. If you were old enough to remember September 11, 2001, then you can likely recall, in great detail, the moment you learned of the attacks and the emotions you felt as you watched the events unfold live throughout the day.
