Police continue search for Anderson shooting suspect
ANDERSON, Ind.–A 35-year-old Anderson man is dead and police are looking for a suspect seen running from the scene.
Police found Jeremy Silvey suffering from a gunshot wound to the back of his head in a car in the parking area at the Lynwood Village Apartments.
According to Madison County Coroner, Marian Dunnichay, Silvey died some 12 hours later at St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital.
Anderson Police had been called to the 1500 block of Weatherly Avenue late Thursday, on a report of shots fired at the apartment complex.
Witnesses told police they heard a car drive onto a curb, followed by the sound of a gunshot.
Other witnesses said the saw a man wearing a white hoodie sweatshirt running away from a silver vehicle.
Investigators say the person of interest was a passenger in Silvey’s vehicle. Silvey was reportedly the driver.
