Big sale for your children’s clothing at the Hamilton County Fairgrounds this weekend

If you’re looking for a place to pick up clothes and other items for your children, there’s a huge sale going on through the weekend in Hamilton County.
The Hamilton County Fairgrounds is home to Indy Kids Sale, which has been serving local families for 10 years.

“We hold two sales a year in Hamilton County. Indy Kids Sale offers new and gently used children’s clothing up to teen sizes, toys, furniture and gear,” says owner Lori Chandler. “You can find all of the top name brand items that you would find at any children’s store, as well as boutique and specialty items. If you like to buy brand name clothing, gear and toys at a fraction of the retail cost then Indy Kids Sale is for you.”

Hundreds of families shop and sell their stuff. Most parents told FOX59, they come for the great deals and because it’s a huge facility with one-stop shopping.

“The clothes are probably only about 25 percent of what you would pay for brand new items,” says Jessica Snyder, consignor and buyer at Indy Kids Sale. “And I know the items are good quality because they check over everything, looking for stains and tears. You just know that they're great quality.”

Chandler says the sale has anything you’re looking for from baby to teen clothing.

Other items include strollers, high chairs and pack and play cribs, plenty of toys, and Halloween costumes. Almost all items are at least 50 percent off, with the smaller stuff 75 to 90 percent off!

If parents want to sell their gently used kid items, they can go to the Indy Kids Sales website and use their online tagging system and print off price tags for their items.

Many of the items are brand new, with tags still on. All items are inspected to make sure shoppers don't have to rifle through a lot of stuff to find something good.

If you want to volunteer at the sales, there's an added bonus of getting a discount on items.

If you're interested in selling, and have missed out on this sale, their next event is in March, but you should register a couple months early. Admission is free and so is parking at the Hamilton County Fairgrounds. Sale hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday.
