IMPD confirms identities of men found dead in alley, says 2 crime scenes linked

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Police confirmed the identities of two men found dead in an alley on the east side of Indianapolis Wednesday.

Family members told FOX59 that one of the victims was 23-year-old Mack Taylor. Police confirmed the information Thursday and identified the second victim as 24-year-old Alexander Brown.

Police were called to the 3000 block of North Gladstone Avenue, near 30th Street and North Gladstone Avenue, just after 11 a.m. Wednesday when someone called to report blood was found inside the residence. They found the bodies of both men in the 2900 block of Gladstone Ave, about a half-block away from the home. IMPD said Thursday that both crime scenes were linked.

Police described the crime scene as gruesome, and officers cordoned off the area for about two hours. IMPD dispatched additional officers to preserve the crime scene and keep the peace as crowds gathered in the area.

IMPD said they’re following up on the investigation and didn’t have any additional updates.

Anyone with information about the case should call (317) 262-TIPS.
