Frankfort police say threat directed at school was miscommuncation between relatives


Update: Police say Frankfort threat was a miscommunication between relatives.

CLINTON COUNTY, Ind. – Community Schools of Frankfort are on lockdown and several other school districts in Clinton County are taking extra precautions after reportedly receiving a threat.

According to the Frankfort Police Department, police received information regarding a shooting threat against students and teachers at 6:30 a.m.

Police say the threat was not specific to any school or school district and they notified all area school districts. As a result, Community Schools of Frankfort is on lockdown.

According to Frankfort schools, all doors will remain locked and students will remain in the building, and additional officers have been assigned to the school.

Rossville Consolidated Schools told staff that police will be patrolling the campus inside and out and instructional aides and administration will walk the hallways and be stationed at the doors.

The threats are under currently under investigation.
