BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Bloomington Police Department is investigating a hotel robbery that occurred Monday evening.

When officers arrived to the Candlewood Suites at 1935 S. Basswood Drive, they were told a man leaned up against a patron and demanded money from the clerk.

When the clerk didn’t immediately comply, the suspect reportedly pulled the patron’s hair, punched her in the right side of her torso and demanded money. The suspect then fled the business.

Police believe the suspect is a black man in his late 20s, who is around 5 foot 7 inches. He was cleaned shaven at the time of the incident.
