Basking in more warmth today before temperatures tumble; Hurricane Matthew to hit Florida tonight

More warmth today under hazy sunshine while an afternoon breeze increases...highs today will reach the lower 80s, roughly 15° above the seasonal averages. The "summer-ish" feel will hold through Friday evening before a more potent front arrives. This front will bring a chance of rain and even a few storms for parts of the state Friday evening. The cold front will sweep quickly through, so dry weather is expected for both Saturday and Sunday, as temperatures return to more seasonal levels!

Hurricane Matthew will begin to make its impact on Florida this afternoon with conditions deteriorating quickly overnight! As of now, it appears the the eastern shores of Florida will get the worst of Matthew with a strong storm surge, heavy rain and damaging winds. Evacuations continue in Florida, while Georgia and the Carolinas continue to standby for more information.
