Mozel Sanders Foundation wants to feed thousands of families this Thanksgiving

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- It's time to start thinking about the people in our community who will not be able to afford a nice holiday meal.

The Mozel Sanders Foundation joined Fanchon Stinger on the Fox 59 Red Couch to kick off the annual fundraising effort.

This year the Mozel Sanders Foundation will hold it's 45th annual Thanksgiving dinner. The dinner will feed over 42-thousand families and people who would not otherwise get a holiday meal.  The foundation is kicking it's annual fundraising effort and the message is, we can all help.

The foundation is holding a benefit dinner at the Grand Casino in Shelbyville Saturday, October 8th and everyone is invited.  The event will go from 7-11 p.m.

October 20th you are invited to the Give Back Luncheon at Outback Steakhouse in Castleton.  The luncheon goes from 11 a.m until 1:00 p.m.

On November 11th and 12th, the Lafayette Square and Circle Centre Malls will host the annual Radio-thon.

The last chance to help is Wednesday, November 16th.  All you have to do is purchase a Sausage Biscuit for $1 at any Indianapolis Hardee’s location, or make a
donation and all the proceeds will go to supporting the Mozel Sanders Foundation.

The goal this year is to raise 100-thousand dollars to serve over 42-thousand people.
