I-70 closed near SR 9 due to crash involving truck hauling dog food in Hancock County

HANCOCK, COUNTY – All lanes of eastbound I-70 were closed near State Road 9 in Hancock County due to a crash Saturday afternoon.

The Indiana Department of Transportation urged drivers to seek alternative routes.

Police say the crash involved two semis, one of which was hauling dog food.

FOX59 is told everybody got out of their vehicles safely.

At 5 p.m., eastbound lanes of I-70 were moving again, but westbound lanes were expected to be closed for two to three more hours.
