HENDRICKS COUNTY, Ind. -- A bold thief was caught on camera during a late night crime spree. He struck the same Hendricks County business twice.

AC Electric is thankful for their surveillance system that captured the solo burglar breaking into two trucks on their lot and getting away with one. It happened late Saturday night. The man made his way to the business after stealing a limo-style van from a rental car business near the Indianapolis International Airport.

Once the man stole the truck from Danville, he left the van from Indianapolis in the lot at AC Electric. He even came back for a second round.

"The next night he came back and stole more scrap wire. He came back in our van that he stole. So just a very brave, brave fellow," Office Manager, Kristi Strahl said.

Danville police tell us they're seeing an increase in thieves stealing vehicles in Marion County, but coming to Hendricks County to do their dirt.

AC Electric has been in business for 11 years and they've only been burglarized twice, both in the last month. Now they hope this surveillance video will be enough to catch this guy.

"It's just unfortunate that people think they have to take from others to survive on their own," Strahl said.

Danville police say they gathered fingerprints from the scene. Those prints have been turned over to the state lab. If the suspect has a criminal history with fingerprints in the system, that could be the piece that helps solve this crime.
