Lockdown lifted at Union Elementary in Zionsville, person in custody

ZIONSVILLE, Ind.– Officials say Union Elementary School was on lockdown Thursday evening due to a suicidal person in the area.

The school is located at 11750 East 300 South. Police said officers were speaking with the individual outside of the school.

The school was placed on lockdown as a precaution. Around 5:45 p.m., officials said the lockdown was lifted and the subject was taken into custody.

No other details were immediately provided.
