Part of I-69 southbound closed near Pendleton after semi overturns

Commuters heading south on I-69 toward Indianapolis could encounter some backups Monday morning.

A semi truck overturned around 4:30 a.m. near Pendleton on I-69 southbound. Officials from INDOT and Indiana State Police said the right lane would stay closed for several hours.

The backup was already stretching back more than a mile on I-69 southbound at exit 219 near State Road 38.

The driver was taken to an area hospital with minor injuries.
