Driver critically injured after flipping vehicle, going airborne 200 feet on east side

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — A 20-year-old man was critically injured in a crash on the east side Tuesday night.

Police say the crash in the 9500 block of East 16th Street involved two vehicles.

One of the vehicles, driven by the 20-year-old victim, flipped after going airborne for 200 feet, then struckĀ a pole and a tree, according to fire officials.

The driver was taken to Eskenzi Hospital in critical condition.
