Southport police officers to surprise 3-year-old supporter with electric toy police car

SOUTHPORT, Ind. — Southport police are surprising a very special supporter with an electric toy police car.

For the past six months, Sam, 3, has visited the Southport Police Department at least once a week, thanking the officers for their service. The officers say he always looks forward to receiving a police sticker.

He even bought a police officer uniform to wear during his visits, and he has started bringing friends with him to visit the officers.

To show their appreciation for Sam’s support, Southport officers chipped in to purchase Sam his own police car. The electric vehicle is complete with Southport Police graphics donated by Big Guy Signs.

They will surprise Sam with the gift during his visit on Thursday, October 20 at 4:30 p.m.
