IMPD investigating early Friday morning shooting on city’s north west side

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — IMPD is currently investigating a person shot on the city’s north-west side in the Cross Creek Apartment complex.

According to dispatch, the incident occurred just after 2 a.m. when a male was returning home and was getting out of his car heading into his apartment.

He was confronted by two men who demanded money.  The victim told them he had none, whereas they they produced a gun and shot him in the leg.

According to police, the suspects then fled in an unknown direction.

The victim has been transported to a local hospital in stable condition.
