INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — A semi truck caught fire Friday morning on I-65, slowing traffic.
It happened on southbound I-65 near I-465 on the south side. Two lanes of the interstate were initially closed, but all lanes of the interstate were open by 10 a.m. and traffic was able to shift over to avoid the truck.
The driver of the truck escaped injury, Indiana State Police said. Investigators aren’t sure if there was a mechanical problem that may have led to the fire, which quickly consumed the truck cab.
