The warmth rolls on, last of the year! Cold pattern shift coming soon

Patchy fog is developing/thickening at this hour, as chillier conditions greet you on this Wednesday morning. Skies are mostly clear overhead but thicker fog at the surface could linger through 9 a.m. Eventually sunshine will build in, as another warm, beautiful afternoon is expected! Late afternoon temperatures should reach the middle 60s, roughly 10° to 15° above average...

The warmth will continue to build for Thursday and on through Friday too before the rain arrives! Record level "heat" will be great, but winds will also be on the increase from the southwest. Winds could gust up to 40 mph on Friday before a more potent cold front sweeps across the state!

A colder pattern shift arrives this weekend with falling temperatures, spotty showers and even a few flurries possible for eastern and northeastern Indiana! Also, the overall national pattern is signaling a change to colder days and weeks moving forward. What's that mean? It means that these will be the last of the 70s for 2016 for most Hoosiers, if not all!
